Why "N. J." in the menu?Because "N" stands for Nicoline

And "J" stands for Josefine

Together, my two wonderful "girls" and I focus on road safety!
Let me clarify this a little.
Imagine you are riding at 76 km/h – below the legal limit of 90 km/h – and suddenly a car turns out in front of you, only 30 meters away.
Your speed means you travel 21 meters in just one second. That second is your reaction time – the moment you realize the danger and grab the brakes.
On dry asphalt, your braking distance would be about 25 meters. But you notice sand on the road. Now it gets worse – your braking distance is doubled to around 50 meters.
That means you need 21 meters (reaction) + 50 meters (braking) = 71 meters to stop your motorcycle.
But the car is only 30 meters ahead of you. You simply have no chance. Even with legal speed and full attention, physics is against you.
Conclusion: When a driver violates the right of way and turns without checking, the motorcyclist is defenseless.
That is why we insist on traffic safety – for Nicoline, Josefine, and all of us.

They usually say "to make a long story short."
In this case, however, I will have to make a long story longer.
So much has happened since the accident, and at the time of writing, we are still waiting for the court's final decision.
In this long account, you will get an insight into how I experienced the accident, told through both words and pictures...

This is due to a serious traffic accident I was involved in on March 5th, 2026, in Saraburi.

About 4 to 5 times a year, I make the long journey to Bangkok on my small Honda Wave 125i. It is usually a wonderful trip, but unfortunately, this time things went terribly wrong. I was hit from the side by another car that had not seen me.

The accident resulted in:
- 2 broken toes left foot
- 8 broken ribs right site
- 1 punctured lung right site (two punctures)
- 1 broken collarbone right site

While my lung has healed, doctors have found a blood clot in each lung. These will require medication and regular check-ups over the next six months. As my treatment is taking place in Bangkok, it is currently uncertain exactly when Baan Denmark will be able to reopen.
PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES IN TRAFFIC. STAY FOCUSED WHILE DRIVING, AND ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET AND SEATBELT!
